Cradle-to-Grave
Cradle-to-grave is a life cycle assessment approach that considers the environmental, social, and economic impacts of a product or process from its raw material extraction (cradle) through its use and eventual disposal (grave). Cradle-to-grave assessments can help to identify opportunities to improve resource efficiency, reduce waste and market entry costs, extend product lifetimes, and minimise the negative impacts of production and consumption on human health and the environment. This approach is often used to inform decision-making, product design, or policy development in the context of sustainability and life cycle management.
