Distributed Generation
Distributed generation refers to a variety of small-scale, decentralised power generation systems that produce and store electricity near the point of consumption, thus reducing the need for long-distance transmission. These systems, often comprised of features such as rooftop solar panels, wind turbines, and microgrids, can improve energy efficiency, increase grid resilience, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. They also enable greater consumer control over energy production and use, supporting the transition to a more sustainable energy system.
