Green Roofs
Green roofs, also called living roofs, are either completely or partially vegetated layers installed on rooftops, which provide insulation and stormwater management, as well as the creation of urban green spaces. They can reduce energy consumption, mitigate urban heat island effects, aid carbon sequestration, create additional habitats for birds and insects, and improve general air quality. Green roofs also offer aesthetic and recreational benefits, contributing to urban biodiversity and the overall well-being of occupants in and around the buildings which make use of them.
