Virtual Power Plants

Virtual power plants (VPPs) are networks of decentralised, small-scale energy resources, such as solar panels, wind turbines, and energy storage systems, that are coordinated using software and communication technologies. With all of the component resources working together, they can provide a similar value and reliability as more traditional power plants. VPPs can also optimise power generation, reduce grid strain, and support the integration of renewable energy into the electricity system.
